Been working nonstop this week on my rebrand and am so excited that it’s finally here!! Today’s cover photo was one of my attempts for a new profile pic—too sunny but I thought it was cute enough to share anyway. I wanted to wear something neutral for my profile pic but not too casual, so I decided on this chic denim button-down dress that I thrifted a few years back.

I just wanted something casual today for work-from-home but tried to spice the outfit up a little with this hair scarf that I rediscovered in my closet my last week.
Pink Tee: Old Navy, $8 ($1.33 per wear) | Denim Shorts: JCPenney, $22 ($4.40 per wear) | Sandals: Hand-me-down | Scarf: Craft fair, $20 ($1.33 per wear), last worn here

Figured I’d dress up a little for the office today! I need to wear this blazer way more often—the cost per wear is really high. I usually associate this floral blouse with spring but think it paired perfectly with the oversized blazer for a fall transitional outfit.
Floral Blouse: Kohl’s, $20 ($2.00 per wear), last worn here | Blazer: Clara Sunwoo, gifted for collaboration, $215 ($107.50 per wear), last worn here | Jeans: Express, $25 ($0.47 per wear), last worn here | Beige Flats: Nordstrom Rack, $40 ($0.70 per wear), last worn here

Today’s outfit stemmed from my greasy hair—I wanted to cover my hair with a headband, which led me to this printed reversible headband, which led me to a black and yellow color scheme, which led me to these pants. In hindsight, I don’t love the outfit, but I think it’s just because I felt gross and slimy and should have washed my hair!!
Black Mock-Neck Top: JCpenney, $11 ($0.26 per wear), last worn here | Printed Pants: Clara Sunwoo, gifted for collaboration, $135 ($45 per wear), last worn here | Black Sandals: Macy’s, $28 ($0.64 per wear), last worn here

I cannot for the life of me remember what I wore or did today. I think I must have worked from home (unusual for me on a Thursday) because I don’t have an outfit pic or anything—which probably means I just wore a tee and athletic shorts! The last several days were a complete blur as I hustled to complete my rebrand in time.

Friday, September 13
Another work-from-home day spent in athletic clothes. My boyfriend and I decided to hit the driving range after work, which was much needed—I was frustrated about a couple of WordPress things and it felt so good to swing out the anger, ha!

Saturday, September 14
I spent all day today working on my website and ventured out a couple of times in the denim dress to try to get a new profile pic. I changed into this casual heart print dress with sneakers for a quick trip to the grocery store (the bodycon and heels of the other outfit just didn’t feel appropriate, ya know?).
Heart Print Dress: Hand-me-down, last worn here | Sneakers: Steve Madden via DSW, $60 ($0.41 per wear), last worn here

Okay, so I didn’t actually get dressed today… But I saw a TikTok this week with a super cute outfit that I wanted to try recreating myself, so I figured I would share the results here (cost per wear details below are from the last time I wore each of these items—I didn’t actually update the spreadsheet with today’s outfit since I didn’t wear it out!).
I’ve been seeing lots of fall outfits this season with white, and the long-sweater-over-a-miniskirt look is still going strong from last year. Both of these trends I love! But sadly, I think this outfit just missed the mark. For just using pieces already in my closet, it’s a pretty close recreation, but I think the fit of my pieces is a little off—it’s just not a very flattering combo on me. It was still super fun to try, though!
Sweater: Clara Sunwoo, gifted for collaboration, $149 ($14.90 per wear), last worn here | White Skirt: JCPenney, $20 ($2.00 per wear), last worn here | Black Boots: Clarks via DSW, $100 ($0.75 per wear), last worn here
. . . . .
What do you think of the TikTok recreation outfit? It almost looks cute in this pic but I think in-person it just wasn’t right.
Miles of smiles,
Grace
