I’ve been missing Scotland a little extra this week! This photo was taken at the top of Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh in spring 2022. I saw that Walgreen’s was having a 50% off sale on photo prints, so I spent several hours yesterday sorting through my study abroad pics and deciding which ones I wanted to print for my college scrapbook. The scrapbook is really coming along—already SO thick and I haven’t even finished junior year yet—so I’m thinking senior year or study abroad might have to go in a sequel…

I’ve had this matching set for years (it came from a Minnie Mouse-themed LC Lauren Conrad collection), but I kind of forgot about the shorts! I love that together it looks like a romper, without the onesie hassle when you go to the bathroom. The scalloped collar and bow on the shorts are the cutest details. I don’t love these espadrilles with the outfit, but the only other shoes I have that go are heels—which I’m not going to wear on a casual Monday.

I don’t think I’ve worn this exact combo before, but I really like how it turned out! I used to have a sky blue blouse that I would always pair with this skirt. It got ruined in the wash, so I’ve shifted to pairing white with this skirt instead. I wasn’t sure if it was weird to tuck this top into an elastic waist without a belt, but after testing it with a belt, I liked it much better without.

I love this printed yellow set from Clara Sunwoo, but I definitely need to wear it more often! I threw a black denim jacket over top today because it’s been chilly in the office (too hot last week, too cold this week) but I’m not sure I love the combo.

I heard my coworker’s daughter was coming into the office today, so I had to wear the Taylor Swift friendship bracelet she made me last summer before the Denver concert. I thought it looked kind of cute with this otherwise plain combo, a lime green button-down and my favorite dark wash jeans. My flats are denim from JCrew with lots of colorful threads running throughout—very summery.

I just wore athletic clothes during my work-from-home day and then changed into this thrifted floral romper for date night. We had so much fun last week checking out a new restaurant that we decided to go back to the same area and try another one of the restaurants on that street. I actually wore this romper on our first date so it’s always a little nostalgic when I break it out again!

I spent most of the day making content for the upcoming week (which means changing outfits a bunch of times) but I finally threw on this Old Navy tank and denim shorts for a trip to the grocery store. I haven’t curled my hair in forever but whenever I do, I feel so pretty and confident. I keep telling myself I should curl it more often, yet I never do… just too lazy I guess.

Sunday, July 21
It was supposed to be stormy today so I suggested my boyfriend and I go see a movie instead of the pool day we had planned. We watched Inside Out 2—cute and funny and thankfully not a disgrace of the first one, like so many sequels are. I opted for long sleeves and jeans since I figured it would be cold in the theater.

. . . . .
Which of this week’s outfits is your favorite? I feel like this is the first time in forever that I actually got dressed every day. I always wonder how I would fare if I worked an entirely remote job… I’m not sure I would ever wear all my fun clothes. I’m realizing that having a “complete” weekly recap is a pretty good motivator for getting dressed!
Miles of smiles,
Grace
