I was bad this week about both getting dressed and taking photos (this cover pic is recycled from last weekend’s bachelorette in the mountains). I know people talk about how important it is to get dressed every day, but I’m really not good at it, despite how much I love fashion. Thank goodness I work a hybrid job because I’m not convinced I would ever get dressed if I didn’t have to go into the office!

I somehow still managed to be productive today even though I just wore athletic clothes. My all-time favorite planner (the Passion Planner) gives a quote and weekly challenge in each weekly spread, which I rarely ever do. But this week’s challenge was to exercise once a day, so I made it a point to at the very least go on a walk every day this week.

It was rainy and cooler today so I opted for this new(ish) light purple sweater and my houndstooth trousers—a new combo for me but definitely one I’ll be wearing again! I thought the outfit would look good with a statement necklace, but I couldn’t bring myself to wear one… Normally I don’t really care about trends, but a statement necklace is just too out of style, even for me. While I love the dainty jewelry vibe, sometimes an outfit just calls for a chunkier piece!
Sweater: Banana Republic, $45 ($15.00 per wear) | Houndstooth Pants: JCPenney, $19 ($0.73 per wear), last worn here | Black Flats: Rothy’s, $100 ($5.00 per wear)

I knew I wanted to wear a skirt today, which after a couple of iterations led me to this new combo! I love how the top and skirt pair together. I thought this outfit would look best with heels, but I was just not in the mood for proper heels today… so I opted for these red snakeskin block sandals instead. I wasn’t sure about the combo at first but think I like it—the subtle pattern mixing is unexpected.

Today’s outfit is the first of the week that’s not a new combo—this is actually one of my go-to summer looks. I was lazy with my hair today and decided on a braided ponytail, which in theory is cute, but never looks very good in photos…

I had a very productive work-from-home day, which felt so good before the long weekend. And I spent the evening working on my college scrapbook—I still have junior and senior year to go (including my semester abroad) but the book is already huge! I might have to break it into two.

I had a perfectly lazy Saturday before my boyfriend and I met up with my aunt’s family for dinner in Boulder. I originally had a much more summery outfit planned, but it turned out to be very windy and even drizzled a bit—the cardigan was definitely the right move.
Black Tank: American Eagle, $8 ($0.53 per wear), last worn here | Sweater: JCPenney, $18 ($0.86 per wear), last worn here | Cropped Flared Jeans: Express, $40 ($0.55 per wear), last worn here | Sneakers: Thrifted Steve Madden, $20 ($1.82 per wear), last worn here

Another lazy day gone by without getting dressed… Though in my head I was wearing a fabulous beaded Regency Era gown, since I spent most of the day binging “Bridgerton” (I’m rewatching the first two seasons before starting the new one).

Slim pickings for outfits this week, but I’m obsessed with how Wednesday’s look came together. I love yellow even though I know some people are diehard haters! As always, thanks for stopping by the blog today.
Miles of smiles,
Grace
