November 2025 Month in Review

After a certain point of procrastination, it seemed almost fitting to finally post this exactly halfway through the following month… This is the time of year where I always start to panic about all the things I didn’t accomplish in 2025, but I’m trying to go easy on myself and remember that self-imposed deadlines are arbitrary, to say the least. One thing I can feel accomplished about is wearing 97% of my closet this year! I’m starting to plan out all of my end-of-year posts and am excited to share some cumulative closet stats and favorite outfits from 2025.

What’s New?

  • November was busy but felt surprisingly long. I celebrated my 26th birthday with family, spent a weekend in Vail with my friend, and went to Las Vegas to spend Thanksgiving with my boyfriend’s family. I made it a point to get extra dressed up for my birthday this year, wearing sequin pants during the day and changing into a sparkly jumpsuit and sequin jacket for dinner—just because I can!
  • I played pickleball for the first time this month and really enjoyed it. I wouldn’t play it as a sport, but it’s a fun group activity at a place like Chicken and Pickle where you can get food and drinks while playing. I did get a little caught up on some of the rules, though, which seemed counterintuitive to me as a tennis player. But overall, I guess I see some of the hype!

Today’s Outfit

I wore this outfit back in September (!!!) at a conference and absolutely loved it. The baby blue top matches the blue pinstripes in the pants perfectly, and the tweed patent leather shoes add a little extra somethin’ somethin’. Not to mention, the dark lip ties it all together for a fall/winter outfit.

Favorite Outfits from November

  • It’s not my usual attire, but I went to a Halloween party on November 1 and was really proud of how my costume turned out, especially the hair! The dress, belt, gloves, shoes, and purse (not shown) were all items I hadn’t worn yet in 2025, so it was a big cost per wear look, too.
  • My other fave outfit this month was a new combo for me. I’ve layered this top under this dress before, but I added a vintage navy belt that belonged to my grandma and my navy dalmatian flats from VIVAIA. I don’t feel like the outfit turned out quite as cute on camera but I love how it felt on!

What I Watched

  • Monster: The Ed Gein Story—This season, even more so than previous seasons, was SO dark. It really left me feeling in a funk. And, honestly, I didn’t think it was that good. It took so many liberties with the facts and jumped around so much that it really makes me question how inaccurate the first two seasons were as well.
  • Nobody Wants This—After a show as dark as Ed Gein I needed something lighthearted to watch, and this fit the bill. Kristen Bell’s character wasn’t my favorite, but I did love Adam Brody and his family’s dynamic.
  • Bride of Frankenstein—Since my boyfriend and I dressed as Frankenstein’s Monster and the Bride of Frankenstein, we figured we had to watch the movie. I was very surprised to learn that the bride was only in maybe 10 minutes of it at the end. It seemed to me like this was a sequel and across both movies it loosely tells the story of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, but I guess I expected it to be kind of it’s own story/spin-off (clearly I didn’t know anything about it before watching).
  • The Last of Us (Season 2)—This was such a drag to get through. I did not like the second season and found it incredibly boring.
  • The Woman in Cabin 10—Despite several famous actors (Keira Knightley, Guy Pearce), this movie was BAD. I predicted the twist at the beginning, which was honestly shocking because I only meant it jokingly, considering it would make no sense. And then sure enough, it happened. And it did make no sense.
  • Leon: The Professional—My boyfriend wanted to rewatch this movie for some reason, so I obliged. I’m not really sure what I thought about it. At times it was boring, but at the same time I felt entertained until the end.
  • Dancing with the Stars—I grew up watching DWTS with my parents, probably from the second season if I had to guess, and watched it all the way through high school. This is the first time I’ve seen it again in years, and I got so much enjoyment out of it. I liked Robert Erwin but I do think Alix Earle was the better dancer! But really, Whitney Leavitt probably should have won.
  • Survivor—I guess I’m just in my reality TV era because I’ve also been watching Survivor for the first time. My boyfriend is a big fan and wants to apply, so of course I had to learn the ropes. I would be terrible at it, but I do think it’s entertaining!

What I Read

I’ve been horrible and haven’t read anything! If you have any recommendations, let me know—I really need to get back into it. Reading is one of the only things that helps me relax.

November Spotify Playlist

November’s playlist is almost entirely comprised of songs sang at karaoke in the basement of the Airbnb my mom rented for my birthday. An Airbnb with a karaoke room?? Incredible.

What I’ve Been Loving Lately

  • Playing soccer again. Well, it’s a bit of a love-hate relationship. I never really want to go but I’m always so glad I did after the fact. Playing a sport just gives me endorphins in a way plain running never could. I even scored a hat trick when my own brother was in goal!!
  • Changing my earrings. I’ve been swapping in and out earrings almost every day for the past couple of weeks (I got two new pairs for my birthday!) and it’s been so much fun to accessorize my outfits with something new. Some looks they really complete, especially when my hair is up. It almost makes me want to get more piercings… but then I remember how much work the healing process was and think, “Eh, not worth it.” At least not right now.

What I’m Looking Forward to in December

  • Well, the month is already halfway over, but I’m really excited to go home to Boise for the holidays. It will be so nice to spend time with family and relax, and I’m sure my mom has a few surprises up her sleeves.
  • I don’t have any plans for New Year’s Eve yet, but I do have plans for New Year’s Eve eve—I’ll be hosting a Nothing to Wear party! I invited everyone to wear something that they don’t normally get to wear, whether that be a fancy dress, an old costume, a funny t-shirt… I can’t wait to see what everyone styles, and it’s the perfect way for me to work in one last fancy dress before the year ends.

  1. I was so disappointed in The Woman in Cabin 10; I had read the book a few years back and remembered enjoying it quite a bit but the movie not so much. That is a really lovely outfit!

    1. It seemed so promising! I do feel like it was a very beautiful movie, though – the setting and those cool boat shots were very pretty. Thank you!

  2. I am so impressed with you 97%! I have thrifted a lot this year, so I am taking a new 1 1/2 break till February: that will give me the opportunity to make sure I wear all my clothes. I already have done great with a lot of my lighter winter tops and scarves and sweaters, but need to make sure to wear those 3rd layers. I love this outfit: professional and pretty! Enjoy the time with your family!

    1. Thank you Mireille!! I’ve definitely felt less desire to shop this year since tracking my percent worn, which sometimes is good but other times isn’t fun when I’m in the mood to shop! I hope you enjoy the holiday season as well.
