Boy, I fell so far behind on blog work while I was home for Thanksgiving! I thought I would be really productive (none of the usual distractions of my apartment), but I turned out to be the exact opposite—extremely unmotivated to get anything done. All I wanted to do was relax and spend time with my parents. I think it was a really good lesson, though, so now I know in the future: whenever I go home, I need to either get everything I want done beforehand, OR I need to accept that that time is more like a vacation rather than a working trip. Which means I’ve got a lot to get done in the next few weeks before I go home again for Christmas!

I’m usually pretty bad at getting dressed on work-from-home Mondays, but I threw on a real (albeit simple) outfit today. I love the floral embroidery on the sleeves of this sweater and wonder if it would be a fun project to do something similar on one of my other sweaters/something from the thrift store. I’ve been in such a crafty mood lately!

Today’s look is another simple one, but I absolutely love how the snakeskin heeled booties add a little somethin-somethin. I think this would be a cute winter date night look with a leather jacket thrown over top.
Pink Sweater: JCPenney, $18 ($0.27 per wear), last worn here | Grey Jeans: Express, $24 ($1.60 per wear) | Snakeskin Booties: Thrifted, $11 ($1.10 per wear), last worn here

I think this simple work outfit turned out super cute! I’ve been brainstorming ways to wear the pretty necklace my boyfriend got me for my birthday, and several of the looks revolve around this light purple sweater from Banana Republic. I think the necklace really shines with it in person but isn’t too bold since it kind of blends in with the sweater.
Sweater: Banana Republic, $45 ($9.00 per wear) | Polka Dot Pants: JCPenney, $19 ($0.59 per wear), last worn here | Black Flats: Rothy’s, $100 ($4.00 per wear)

This was a new outfit combo for me, but I didn’t end up loving the sweater and pants together—something about it just felt off. I think the magenta velvety flats and sweater would pair much better with dark wash denim instead.
Sweater: Sundance Outlet, $45 ($2.50 per wear), last worn here | Black Pants: Clara Sunwoo, gifted for collaboration, $98 ($8.17 per wear) | Velvet Flats: Sundance, $60 ($3.53 per wear), last worn here

Friday, November 22
Just another work-from-home day where I didn’t get dressed… I spent the evening doing a couple of chores and packing for my trip to Boise.

Saturday, November 23
I had an afternoon flight instead of an early-morning one for once, which was so refreshing and much less stressful to be able to enjoy a lazy Saturday morning. I arrived in Boise right at dinner time and was greeted by my parents with a delish pizza dinner from one of my favorite spots in town!
Pink Tee: Old Navy, $8 ($1.00 per wear) | Leather Jacket: Blank NYC, $25 ($0.36 per wear), last worn here | Straight Leg Jeans: Express, $15 ($0.31 per wear), last worn here | White Sneakers: Primark, $10 ($0.31 per wear), last worn here

Sunday, November 24
I slept in and spent the lazy Sunday hanging out with my parents. We went for a walk around the neighborhood in the afternoon and had a fun little at-home cocktail hour before dinner.

Which of this week’s outfits is your favorite? Stay tuned as I rapid-fire the rest of my blog posts today and tomorrow. I wish there was a way to turn off the email notifications on individual posts so that I don’t spam your inboxes, but I don’t know how to do that!
Miles of smiles,
Grace
