How cool is this Porsche cairn?? It’s a 1987 911 Carrera—two Lego versions and a Hot Wheels, all on top of the real thing. I can’t claim to be a car girl, but growing up surrounded by car people has made me at least able to appreciate the finer vehicles in life. I joined my dad at a Porsche Oktoberfest event over the weekend and had so much fun seeing all the German sportscars. There was a Kelly green one (not my favorite color for a car) but the woman who owned it had a matching Kelly green top and heels on! That I did love.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but I always love reaching for dresses on Mondays when I’m too lazy to put together a more complex outfit. I’ve owned this brown one for years and it’s still one of my favorites.

In other news, I ran out of shampoo this week, so instead of buying more (which is ridiculously priced), I decided to finally attempt the Curly Girl Method, which requires no shampoo at all. While my hair is definitely not curly, there is curly hair in my family, and the hairdresser always tells me my hair has some texture. If you’re not familiar, some of the basic tenets of the Curly Girl Method are to wash using only conditioner (no shampoo), to never brush your hair, and to scrunch your hair with a towel post-shower while it’s still super wet. In can takes weeks to months for your hair to fully adjust, especially to the conditioner-only wash, which is why my hair looks wet/greasy in these photos! Trying to power through but we’ll see how long I last… I’m not that committed to the process.

Today’s outfit was all about comfort. These Clara Sunwoo joggers and my Rothy’s are some of the most comfortable pieces in my closet, and while the grey cardigan isn’t the cutest thing ever, it’s so unbelievably soft. Felt like I was wearing pajamas!

This will forever be known as the outfit I was wearing the day I sold my first car, Betty (RIP). I love this sweater so much and am kicking myself that I didn’t buy it in more colors! The neckline is so unique and flattering.

I snuck home to Boise for the weekend for one of my best high school friend’s bridal shower. I really wanted to wear this Neiman Marcus thrifted dress, which I had only worn once before. I love the colors for fall. Normally I would pair a dress like this with heels, but I wasn’t sure how fancy the bridal shower was and didn’t want to be overdressed—I’m glad I ended up wearing the flats!

After a quick outfit change we were off for a casual bachelorette weekend at a cabin in Donnelly, Idaho. We just chatted, ate, and hung out by the fire all evening. I saw the most incredible shooting star I’ve ever seen!

This tee is actually “vintage” and belonged to my mom when she was in college—I love it. I think it paired with the jeans well for a casual yet cute weekend outfit.
