Happy Spooky Season! I decorated my apartment last week for Halloween, and even though I didn’t want to let go of summer at first, I’m fully in fall mode now (and already worried that it’s going to go by way too fast). I wish I had more storage space in my apartment because I keep seeing all these fun fall decoration crafts and it’s taking everything in my power to resist. Oh, do I miss living in a house.

What’s New?
- By far the most exciting part of September was the launch of Grace Per Wear on the 16th!! I’ve been wanting to change my blog name for years but could never commit to anything… And, as much as I had resisted previously, I knew it was finally time to give my website a fresh, modern look. I’m beyond proud of how it all came together. Aside from a few very technical coding aspects that I got help on from my boyfriend, I did the entire redesign by myself in the span of two weeks! (I have to admit though—there are a few lingering problems with the site, such as the way image galleries display, but after Launch Day I lost all momentum. Gotta get back into it and fix those things!)
- This month also marked three years since my boyfriend and I went on our first date—hard to believe how fast the time has flown. We met my senior year of college when I was living alone after most of my friends graduated early. I thought the semester would suck and that I’d be super lonely… But taking my wine class and having someone new to taste test with made it one of my favorite times in school. I get so nostalgic for my college days every fall!

Today’s Outfit
Last week my aunt and I went to Guanella Pass (about an hour and a half outside Denver) to see the changing Aspens. We were there at the perfect time, and this is one of the outfits I shot! I didn’t edit the colors at all (well, I actually de-saturated them a bit), so you can imagine how vibrant the leaves were in person. The oversized sweater and mini skirt combo is big again this year, so I shopped my closet to put together a “trendy” outfit. The knee boots and pom pom socks make the look! And my olive green go-to fall bag is from Three Arrows Gallery, a local gift store.

What I Watched
- Treasure Planet—This was one of my boyfriend’s favorite movies as a kid, which I had never seen before. It was cute! But also, very clearly a boy movie and not even close to the top of my list of favorite animated films. I prefer Sinbad, which is similar to Treasure Planet but was made a few years later. Loved the Goo Goo Dolls soundtrack, though!
- The Nice Guys—I wasn’t really expecting to like this movie, which stars Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe as private investigators in the 70s, but it was actually really funny. I would recommend it.
September Spotify Playlist
This month’s playlist has a lil’ bit of ABBA (went to lunch at a restaurant where that’s all they played), a few songs that blew up on social media this month, and some of my Pop Rocks favorite, which is the SiriusXM channel I listen to while driving.

What I’ve Been Loving Lately
- This viral heatless curl tool from Amazon, which I shared a Reel about. It took me a couple of tries to get the hang of it, but I think it works really well. It’s also one of the comfiest sleep-in curlers I’ve used.
- Nerds Gummy Clusters. It’s Halloween season finally which means candy time. I’m not a big candy person, especially gummies, but something about these Nerds clusters are devilishly good… Nerds by themselves? Eh. Gummies by themselves? Eh. But together… they make the perfect mix of crunchy and chewy.
- I had to stop listening to the Morbid podcast, as much as I loved it, because it was giving me too many nightmares. I switched to The Daily instead—a NYT news podcast which isn’t nearly as fun to listen to, but at least now I’m more informed. The episodes are really short and easy to digest, which I love.
What I’m Looking Forward to in October
- One of my best friends from grade/high school is having her bachelorette this weekend in a mountain town outside Boise, so I’m very excited to see her and celebrate her upcoming wedding! The bridal shower and cabin bachelorette are just Saturday and Sunday, so I’ll get to spend a little time at home with my parents, too.
- October always seems to be one of the busiest months of the year for me, but I’m very excited for all the traditional fall dates my boyfriend and I always go on. This will be the fourth year we have a picnic in the park (it was my idea for our second date to go on a picnic and it’s been a tradition ever since).

What are you most proud of in September and what are you looking forward to in the new month? Last October, my boyfriend and I watched Hocus Pocus while carving pumpkins—which neither of us had seen before. While I don’t feel the need to watch it again, we both actually really liked it and enjoyed seeing what all the hype was about.
Miles of smiles,
Grace
