I forgot to take a cover photo for this week’s Weekly Recap, so I just pulled an old pic from Labor Day weekend last year. And it just so happens I decided to wear the same overalls again! Though I paired them with pink instead of purple this time. I hardly had any plans this long weekend, and it felt really nice to stay home. I got lots of blog work done—there are exciting things on the horizon that I can’t wait to share!!

This outfit was one of my contenders for the Denver Brunch Fest last weekend, and somebody on my TikTok commented that I look like an educational Youtuber for toddlers, Ms. Rachel—ha! I looked her up and she was right, the pink tee and overalls make me look a lot like her. The funniest part is that I saw someone else at the Brunch Fest wearing a pink tee and overalls.

Whether I look like the Youtuber or not, I still think it’s a cute combo, so I decided to wear it for work-from-home today since I didn’t have any meetings. I’m considering cutting the stiches on the sides of the shorts to add a little more length.

I was having one of those mornings where I just couldn’t put together an outfit that I liked. I was running out of time so I just decided on this white sweater and black pants from Clara Sunwoo. I’ve gained some weight recently, so I think the pants might be too tight for work now… I do love how the magenta headband matches the velvet shoes, though.

I don’t think this outfit turned out as cute on camera as it was in person! I’ve had this skirt for years, so of course I’ve styled it with black tops before. But I hadn’t paired it with this new(ish) black tee from Old Navy yet, and I love the combo. Something about it is just the perfect casual—yet put-together—summer outfit.

I guess I was just in the mood for black and white outfits this week! I didn’t have any plans today and didn’t even leave the apartment (aside for a walk around the neighborhood) so I just threw on this simple heart print dress.

I’m realizing writing this post that I just wasn’t feeling inspired this week in terms of outfits. This ‘fit is cute enough, but it wasn’t what I was going for today—I spent at least 20 minutes trying to decide what to wear, which is so unlike me. Last year during Labor Day weekend I joined my boyfriend and all his friends at an anime convention they go to every year. I realized it was not my thing, but I did decide to join them for a couple hours at the convention tonight just to see a couple of buddies who live out of town. I had a much better time in such a short increment instead of the whole weekend, lol.
