I started the week in Las Vegas, a quick trip to celebrate Easter and my mom’s birthday with my whole family, and finished the week back home in Denver with a completely empty schedule—just what I needed to recuperate after a very busy March. As I mentioned in my monthly recap, I’m trying to do a no-spend month in April, which is already proving more difficult than I imagined! It’s not like I shop that often, but I realized some of my to-do list items, like finishing my college scrapbook or reorganizing my OneDrive files, cost money (buying the rest of the photos, paying for additional storage, etc.). I never considered how my no-spend goal might affect some of the other tasks I was hoping to accomplish this month—I definitely had to re-think a few things.

Monday, April 1
We woke up early this morning so we could take a nice family photo at the Las Vegas sign (did someone say, Christmas card?). Of course, I had to do a quick outfit change in the car and snap a few photos of my own, since we were there at 6 in the morning before the crowds. This is the first time I wore this new floral Old Navy dress and it was so comfy!
We did an escape room in the afternoon (this one was Seven Deadly Sins themed in a fake church and was kind of spooky) and then had a nice dinner at home with extended family for my mom’s birthday.

I was the last of my siblings to fly home, so my parents and I went into my grandpa’s office this morning to get some work done before they took me to the airport. As cute as this outfit is, I realized it’s not a great airport ‘fit because the pants don’t have any pockets! I found myself having to hold my phone throughout the day instead of having an easy place to put it.

Wednesday, April 3
I almost always go into the office on Wednesdays (we have staff meeting and lots of people go in) but I just couldn’t bring myself to make the trek today, after a long weekend away. I worked from home instead and managed to get a lot of laundry done while doing so. I’ve never worn this outfit before, and while I think it’s very cute for the most part, I don’t love the shoes with it. Something about these dinky Target flats doesn’t seem “substantial” enough, if that makes sense. Now if I had leopard Rothy’s… I think that pointed shape would pair much better.

Thursday, April 4
Back in my burlap sack dress! This beige linen dress is SO cute and comfy for warmer days, even though the color isn’t the most flattering on me. I layered on a denim jacket but it wasn’t necessary—it almost reached 80 degrees! I went for a walk when I got home from work to really soak up the sunshine.

Friday, April 5
After a busy work-from-home day, I went for a long walk to start my weekend, wearing this cute athletic dress from Amazon. I had wanted to try Halara, the athleisure brand that’s been all over social media lately, but they don’t have free returns! Since I wasn’t positive what size I would wear, I found a near-identical dress on Amazon instead. I love it—it fits perfectly and has the cutest open back, great for tennis or golf (my boyfriend and I were planning on playing tennis this afternoon but it ended up being super windy).

Saturday, April 6
I had a wonderfully lazy Saturday around the apartment, finishing my book in the morning, working out in the afternoon, and spending the evening scrapbooking for the first time in months. Such a lazy day, in fact, that I never put on real clothes (and while my workout outfit yesterday was very cute, today’s was atrocious and not worth sharing—picture: padded bike shorts peeping out from under my running shorts, a sports bra that didn’t match the racerback cut of my top, and Christmas knee socks rolled down because all my athletic socks were dirty).

Sunday, April 7
Another day where I didn’t really get dressed. I spent the afternoon filming Reels and TikToks for the upcoming week, and whenever I have content-heavy days (i.e. changing outfits a million times) I tend to never put on a real outfit when I finish filming. Today I just opted for sweatpants and the cute Joshua Tree tee I picked up while at Joshua Tree in December (pictured above!).

Which of this week’s springy outfits is your favorite? Aside from the extremely windy weekend, the weather was gorgeous this week, making it so hard to concentrate at work. I might start working from home more just so I can sit outside on the deck while working instead of inside an over-air-conditioned office.
Miles of smiles,
Grace
