Squeezing in one last fall look before the winter content starts! Thankfully it hasn’t really started snowing here in Denver yet, but this past week was the first time it got properly cold—the high was only in the 30s a couple of days ago. I always want to style cute plaid skirt outfits like all the Instagram girlies, but once the temperatures turn, the only thing I can bring myself to put on is jeans! I always get into a little style rut this time of year, so I just need to get more creative with fun winter weather accessories.

What’s New?
- I’m 24 now! Of course, it doesn’t feel any different, but I did get a small refund from my car insurance company for getting older. Woohoo.
- Speaking of cars, I’m in the market for a new one. I know, I know, I first said that back over the summer and didn’t do anything about it… But I finally decided on what car I want last weekend, so now I need to get serious about calling my bank, getting a quote for selling my current car, talking to my insurance company, etc. Ugh. Car stuff is my least favorite chore, but it will be really nice to have an AWD vehicle before the worst of the winter hits.
- I also got a new phone (again) this week, but I haven’t set it up yet. If you remember my phone saga, I got a new phone during summer 2022 and have already had the camera replaced and the entire phone replaced under warranty. The camera still doesn’t focus. So during Black Friday I decided to buy a newer model, even though the last thing I wanted to do was spend more money on a stupid phone. Fingers crossed this one finally works… If not, I think I’ll rip my hair out, become a hermit, and never take another photo again.

Today’s Outfit
I took these photos all the way back in September during my work conference in Keystone and never posted them. I love how this fall work outfit turned out! My office is pretty casual, so I took the conference setting as an opportunity to break out all my blazers. This brown tweed one was thrifted, as was my bedazzled top and patent leather purse. The olive green pants I’ve had since freshman year of high school, yet somehow they’ve never been featured in a real blog post. I used to hate them back then because they were so baggy, but now the straight-leg fit is really in again.

Favorite Outfits from November
It was hard to pick favorite looks this month. I ultimately decided on the fun bellbottom pants ‘fit I wore line dancing and the grey monochrome outfit I styled a couple of Sundays ago. I’ve always loved printed pants, and these cowgirl-chic ones are by far my favorite!

What I Watched
- The Killer—This Netflix movie starring Michael Fassbender is so incredibly boring… Definitely skip this one!
- “Gilmore Girls”—I first watched this fast-paced, witty series back in college but was inspired by every fall-obsessed white girl on Instagram to start rewatching it. It makes a great background show that I just throw on while doing chores or blog stuff.
- “Succession”—My boyfriend and I finally started watching this satirical comedy-drama after it was on both of our watchlists for months. We’re only on season 2 so far but both really like the humor—the show is very cringeworthy and the type of thing where you hate all the characters from the first episode. Yet, something still draws us to it and keeps us watching.
November Spotify Playlist
Lots of memories tied to this month’s playlist! There’s a handful of country songs from when my boyfriend and I discovered a new line dancing bar near us, tunes from karaoke we did on my birthday weekend, and sing-alongs from the piano performer we saw in Boise over Thanksgiving break. I also just explored my Spotify Wrapped… I’m not one to spam my Instagram with top songs and artists but it was kind of fun (and surprising) to look through. My Sound Town is the seafaring city St. John’s, Canada, ha! My top songs of 2023 playlist is here (it’s honestly kind of embarrassing).

What I’m Looking Forward to in December
- Christmas markets and dates! Last year, my boyfriend and I did a lot of different Christmas activities around Denver—probably at least two things a week. I’m not sure we want to go that crazy again this year, but there are a few stops I want to revisit and a handful of new attractions to check out (like the Mistletoe Market in the Dairy Block).
- My aunt is turning 50 this year so to celebrate, I offered to throw her a party! It’s next weekend and will be 80s-themed, complete with costumes and a rocking playlist. I’m so excited. But I have to admit, I’m also a little nervous… I’ve always loved party planning and have organized a handful of events over the years, but they were always low-stakes. This party feels like a much bigger deal, so I hope it goes off without a hitch! I still have a lot of organizing and errands to run this weekend to prepare.
- Christmas vacation in Palm Springs. It’s the year of milestone birthdays because my dad is turning the big 6-0 in a couple of weeks. Instead of going home for the holidays, his birthday wish was for the family to get together at a fun destination instead. I’ve never been to Palm Springs before and am really excited to check it out!

What are you looking forward to in December? Any fun holiday plans? We’re gonna blink and it will be 2024 already! I really need to set aside some time to reassess my goals and brainstorm what I want to accomplish next year. I have such a love-hate relationship with December—I love looking back at what I did and achieved in the last 12 months, but it also forces me to look at everything I didn’t cross off my list. I’m not very good at celebrating the wins instead of dwelling on the failures!
Hope you have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by the blog today.
Miles of smiles,
Grace
