It was a busy busy week full of lots of great family time with my brother, sister-in-law, and parents who were in town helping with the move. I keep hearing more and more people saying they’re ready for fall, but I feel like the summer has only just begun now that my bro and sister-in-law are finally here! I can’t believe a lot of my coworkers’ children are already going back to school—too soon.

I work from home on Mondays and didn’t have any meetings, which meant I could wear a simple tank and shorts. I usually have a hard time putting together cute casual outfits (other bloggers make it look so effortless?) but I actually really like how this look came together. I think it would be even better with a ballcap next time.

I’ve never paired this green leopard top with these pants before but I absolutely love how the combo turned out! I think it’s so simple yet put-together (and comfy) for the office. Although, I did realize that this is probably one of the most expensive outfits in my closet, as all of the pieces are from much higher-end brands than I usually shop from.
Leopard Top: Cabi, $89 ($4.94 per wear), last worn here | Black Pants: Clara Sunwoo, gifted for collaboration, $98 ($14.00 per wear) | Black Flats: Rothy’s, $100 ($4.55 per wear)

I had a bad day yesterday and then discovered a giant screw in my tire once I got to work today, so I was having a bit of a rough go! Thankfully I had an excellent experience at Les Schwab so hey, not all bad. A couple of my coworkers and I had a picnic in the park today so I knew I needed an outfit comfy enough to walk and sit on the ground in. Normally I wouldn’t pair this top with the pants, but I haven’t done laundry in forever and was desperate—I actually think it turned out pretty cute, though.
Top: Nordstrom Rack, $15 ($0.56 per wear), last worn here | Yellow Pants: JCPenney, $20 ($0.61 per wear), last worn here | White Espadrilles: DSW, $45 ($0.38 per wear), last worn here

Thursday, August 1
After the events of the past two days I just decided to work from home today (and never ended up putting on real clothes, though I did venture out for my new car’s first oil change—big week for Winnie).
Friday, August 2
Five years ago this week I was in Spain wrapping up the Camino de Santiago before the rest of my family joined my brother and me for a couple of days in Barcelona. A memory popped up on my phone where I was standing in the Mediterranean wearing this outfit—and I thought, “Dang, that’s super cute!” I realized I still had both pieces so I figured I should wear the look again. I love the stripey pattern mixing.
Striped Tee: Down East Style, $18 ($0.47 per wear), last worn here | Maxi Skirt: Bohme, $35 ($2.69 per wear), last worn here | White Espadrilles: DSW, $45 ($0.38 per wear), last worn here

Saturday, August 3
After a content-heavy morning, my brother and sister-in-law picked me up to spend the afternoon on a great hike in Boulder. Afterwards we swung by a friend’s house for a little game night—I guess I’ve been having a lot of those lately!
Sunday, August 4
I wanted something super casual today so I threw on this black tee and printed shorts that I’ve had for years. The darkest part of the shorts is actually navy blue, not black, but I feel like the tee still works since I tied the black back in with the shoes. And the turquoise necklace matches the shorts perfectly!
Black Tee: Old Navy, $8 ($2.00 per wear) | Shorts: JCPenney, $20 ($0.83 per wear), last worn here | Black Sandals: Macy’s, $28 ($0.65 per wear), last worn here

The other news this week is that my boyfriend and I watched “Baby Reindeer” on Netflix. I like dark movies and shows, but I think this 7-episode miniseries was too much even for me… It was just so uncomfortable to watch and left us both feeling really icky. Can’t say I would recommend it (but at the same time, I’m glad we watched it).
Which of this week’s outfits is your favorite? As always, thanks for reading!
Miles of smiles,
Grace
