I’ve felt super behind this week on blog and personal stuff, but boy have I been productive at my day job! I’ve realized recently that I kind of struggle with hybrid work. I love the flexibility, of course, but I have a hard time setting boundaries for when I should and should not be working. I don’t like to leave things unfinished at the end of the day, so I tend to keep working into the evening… which is time I should be spending on my blog and other hobbies. I guess I’ve just been thinking a lot this week about my 20s, what I want to get out of them, how I’m spending my time, and how to make sure I’m living the life I want for myself. I have absolutely no answers, but if you’re also a 20-something wondering what the heck you’re doing with your life, I’m right there with ya’.

I had an uneventful work-from-home day and threw this casual outfit together. I re-discovered these shorts in a giveaway pile while I was in Boise last week, but since the cargo look is kind of back in style I thought I might give them another shot. I figured this outfit would look cute with some pops of colors, so I tried layering a few necklaces (including a pretty turquoise one) and threw on the only colorful sandals I own. Unfortunately, all my necklaces are about the same length, making it difficult to layer, and the straps on my sandals broke. I think this outfit was heading in the right direction for a trendy summer look, it just fell a little flat.

I’ve styled this red/orange jumpsuit a handful of times on the blog and social media, but I’ve never actually worn it out! I always reach for it and then for one reason or another decide not to wear it… I finally changed that today. Without a tank, this jumpsuit is too low-cut for work, but I figured it would be okay for the office with a little cami and a denim jacket over top. Well, once I got to work I found out the AC was broken (during a heat advisory week, no less) so I had to scrap the jacket. I wasn’t sure about the look without a belt but my coworker said she absolutely loved my outfit!

Wednesday, July 10
Normally my boyfriend, some friends, and I go to trivia on Wednesday nights, but I grabbed drinks with my old professor on Tuesday and was in the mood to just stay home this evening (to be productive—but I did not end up being productive). The AC at work was still broken but I had to go in today, so I opted for this loose flowy dress from Dress Barn to stay cool. I realized in the morning that I should have washed my hair the night before, so I found an old headband to throw on in an attempt to hide its dirtiness. I’m only realizing now looking at this photo that the headband and sandals clash.

I’ve been working against some tight deadlines this week, and with the AC still being out at the office, I figured it made sense to stay home today so I could get straight to work after waking up. This is one of my go-to summer lounge outfits, and I just threw a button down over top during my Zoom meetings.

Friday, July 12
It was a super hectic work day finishing up our deliverable, so it felt amazing when 4:30 rolled around and I hit the submit button. My boyfriend and I celebrated the long work week with a date night at a new-to-us restaurant, Vinca (I got the scallops and risotto—incredible).
I had been dreaming of wearing this Clara Sunwoo top all day, another piece in my closet that I’ve styled for the blog before but never actually worn out. Turns out, I don’t have a ton of bottoms that go with it, especially when it’s so hot out. I thought it would look cute with a flowy white skirt (which I don’t have) so the next best thing I found was this denim skirt. I’m still not sure I love the pairing—the top and skirt feel like very different vibes—but I decided to wear it anyway. Whenever I’m unsure about an outfit, I’ve found that wearing it a full day/night generally helps me decide if I like it. For today’s look? Probably won’t be seeing it again…

Saturday, July 13
I had a slow morning before spending the afternoon on the golf course! I only started keeping score a few rounds ago, but today I improved by 18 strokes, which was really exciting. I wore this super cute red athletic dress that I bought on Amazon (but I think it’s the exact same as that viral Halara dress).

Sunday, July 14
I had a pretty lazy Sunday and spent the afternoon lounging by the pool, so no outfit pic!

Which of this week’s looks is your favorite?
