I first started working with Clara Sunwoo, a mother-daughter design duo, in March 2023. While pricier, I love their pieces for both work and vacation wear—everything is extremely comfortable and made from a stretchy, wrinkle-free fabric that’s perfect for shoving in a suitcase. With over a year of collaborations now, I have quite the collection of Clara Sunwoo pieces! I shared a Reel a while back mixing and matching all of my items but wanted to share a blog post as well—not as a collaboration requirement, but just because I love how versatile their pieces are. It was so fun seeing just how many combos I could create with my 12 Clara Sunwoo separates.
Combo #1
This is the outfit I received for my most recent collaboration in March. I know there are a lot of yellow haters out there, but I love the color for summer, especially in this chic print. I haven’t worn this ensemble out yet—just in my March recap—but I think it would be super cute for a vacation dinner. I might even wear it to work if I was feeling particularly bold, probably with a jacket though to draw less attention.
Combo #2
Who said workwear has to be stuffy? This is probably the comfiest work outfit I could imagine, all the way down to the shoes (my Rothy’s). It may feel like pajamas but this look is chic and perfectly put-together for the office.
Combo #3
I don’t love this outfit as much because it’s very simple, but I could see it being a great winter work option to throw on when you’re just not in the mood to get dressed.
Combo #4
While this is the same base as the last outfit, I like this look a lot more—the brown blazer adds so much. It’s also that perfect oversize fit, trendy but not drowning you in extra fabric.
Combo #5
While I love the look and style of these navy ponte pants, I really struggle with how to wear them! Even though the black pants I have are the same fabric, something about the black feels way more appropriate for work… whereas these navy ones err dangerously close to leggings. I have worn them to the office before but felt very self-conscience about my butt the whole day!
This particular combo isn’t my favorite, but I do still think the pieces could be paired together. Maybe a scarf or jacket would help jazz it up a bit. If only I had a long cardigan that covered my booty, I’d feel much more comfortable wearing these pants!
Combo #6
This is such a cute outfit for Valentine’s Day or the holiday season. I was nervous about trying these pleather pants, but I think when styled correctly they can be super cute! Make sure to size up though—they unsurprisingly fit differently than the ponte pants.
Combo #7
This is such a simple and cozy outfit, perfect for work or the weekends. I love this sweater so much and wish I had it in more colors! Hopefully they bring it back again in their fall/winter collection.
Combo #8
This might be one of my favorite combos out of all of them. Same base outfit as the last look but throw on a blazer to make it super chic! If I had the right kind of sneakers, I even think this ‘fit could be a great vacation outfit while touring a big city, like New York or Paris.
Combo #9
I wore this outfit on a date with my boyfriend last fall and felt so stinking cute in it (check out this blog post). I’ve found that any sort of pleather material is extremely hot, so this would also make a great outfit in the winter if you plan to be outside in the cold at a holiday market or something similar.
Combo #10
I think the blue and beige together are a fun and unexpected pairing! I haven’t worn this outfit before and only came up with it while making this post, but I do wonder if the length of the sweater would make me feel a little more comfortable wearing these pants to work.
Combo #11
I’ve worn this look to work a couple of times already. It’s just such an easy combo to throw on—looking very chic without having to sacrifice comfort. While I love the print of this top, I do wish the neckline was lower. I struggle to pair jackets with this blouse because they tend to look a little funky with the high neck. I was so excited to see in this year’s spring collection that they did make this style top with a deeper V! (See: yellow printed blouse from Combo #1.)
Combo #12
This is another outfit I came up with while making this post. It’s not my favorite, but I do think it can work… I love the clutch and snakeskin sandals with the blouse.
Combo #13
I love this top and am obsessed with this look so much (see more here). But I don’t know where you wear it?? It’s chic like a work outfit but a little too structured for a vacation outfit. I think you would have to wear it to dinner in a tropical destination, but then it seems like the pants should be flowier… I believe the blouse was intended to be paired with matching gaucho pants, I just thought it would be an interesting combo to try with solid navy pants instead. I do love the outfit in theory, it just might not be the most practical.
Combo #14
This was my first Clara Sunwoo outfit—it’s so fun for vacation! And especially great for really hot days. Since this was my first time trying their clothes, I got a small in both the top and bottom. I realized their stretchier knit pieces run a little big, so now I only get extra smalls. I just wish I knew that originally because I probably would wear this outfit more if it was a little snugger.
Combo #15
And lastly, the one shoulder top with the navy ponte pants. Again, I think the combo is super cute, but it has the same issue where I’m not really sure where I would actually wear this outfit.
. . . . .
Which of these Clara Sunwoo looks is your favorite?? I’m torn between #2, #8, and #13.
