Turkey Attire

As promised last week, I’m coming at ya’ this week with Thanksgiving inspired posts. Today’s outfit is one for the cook: something you can wear if you’ll be slaving away all day in the kitchen (and munching on the goods early, if you know what I mean). Wednesday’s post will feature the perfect outfit for eating! ‘Cause we all know that’s the only thing I do on Turkey Day. 🙂 And also, a quick side note: Today marks the 200th post on Graceful Rags! Can you believe that?! Time sure does fly when you’re having fun.

I always try to wear “fall-ish” colors on Thanksgiving like oranges, burgundies, and reds. I once wore a red/yellow/orange striped summer tank top just so I could stick with my outfit tradition! You best believe I got some disapproving stares from my mother…This year I decided to mix it up a bit and wear olive green tones instead. I love how this outfit turned out with the stripes and jacket matching perfectly and the brown accents.

I generally lean towards a more comfortable outfit for Thanksgiving—I guess just because it’s a cozy holiday—but now that I think about it, that’s kind of silly. I’m always looking for excuses to dress up, and a holiday seems like the perfect reason to get all fancy! Haha. Anyways, this outfit is great for cooking because it’s comfy and has light layers, so when you get all worked up and sweaty stressing about that turkey, you can take the jacket off.

Now It’s Your Turn!

Time for you to pick out your perfect Thanksgiving outfit, so here are some things to keep in mind if you’ll be cooking a lot:

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful for picking out your outfit. I’m so excited for the holiday and for break!

Miles of smiles,

Grace
